I'm really enjoying it! And do come back after Valentine's Day (when the Cybils list comes out!) for my reviews of the shortlisted YA Fiction!Mrs. Silversteinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15081113623522933830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2671037899293269779.post-48237491374419357212013-01-30T08:27:17.075-05:002013-01-30T08:27:17.075-05:00I forget if you've read other stuff by Scott W...I forget if you've read other stuff by Scott Westerfeld--I definitely enjoyed the Leviathan series more, but the Uglies series is where I was first introduced to his uncanny knack for slang--I still kind of think in it sometimes.

I look forward to the day when you finally do read Unspoken--I think you'll really like it (I hope!) It's so funny and the characters are so fabulously odd. I'm glad I was totally peer-pressured into it :)Mrs. Silversteinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15081113623522933830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2671037899293269779.post-20101320524037477842013-01-30T08:23:55.069-05:002013-01-30T08:23:55.069-05:00Yeah--word of mouth is doing great things for this...Yeah--word of mouth is doing great things for this book, I think! I remember around the time it came out it felt like my blogroll exploded with glowing reviews for it, and then again in the end-of-year roundups. I was relieved to find I enjoyed it as much as everyone else!Mrs. Silversteinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15081113623522933830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2671037899293269779.post-6239733369968505562013-01-29T23:39:05.726-05:002013-01-29T23:39:05.726-05:00I'm curious to hear what you thought of Endang...I'm curious to hear what you thought of Endangered and This Is Not a Test - I enjoyed them both! My t(w)eens that I work with love the Uglies series. I've only read the first book and felt that it dragged a bit, but I enjoyed it aside from that. It sounds really good, so I'm not sure why I haven't. I tried reading UGLIES before, but couldn't get into it. Maybe I'll have to give it another try. :)Jaime Morrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03023932422477544525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2671037899293269779.post-72727488564974574082013-01-27T20:10:47.312-05:002013-01-27T20:10:47.312-05:00Okay, that does it. I can't tell you have many times I've read the back cover at the bookstore only to pass it over for something else. Now I keep hearing all these great things about it, so I think you just pushed me over the edge. :)Erin L. Funkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00068394727011130144noreply@blogger.com
